About

STARS began as a renderer for planetarium domes: a stack of layers, each its own GPU program, blended into one high-dynamic-range frame and projected as a fisheye that fills the dome. The same idea then moved to the browser, and from there into a tool for live performance and teaching.

The three parts share the layer stack, the noise functions, the colour pipeline and the scene files, so a look made in one can travel to the others. Its layers also live in World, where 193 of them can be placed on the stage.
