A teaser, filmed in the game's own engine
Alpha 23 builds a film out of the game itself, with the lore's own documents and the writing systems of another project.
The teaser is not edited footage. It is a sequence the engine plays and records itself, so it changes when the game changes.
Its material comes from inside the world: the lore’s own documents, typed and torn; the game’s mark; a look for each era; and a score the cuts answer to.
It also borrows from another project. The film’s screens use the writing systems of Scriptorium, its RADIX glyphs and the layers of the FONT project, so the in-world documents are written in scripts that were designed rather than faked.
