Chaos Lab
About
Each Chaos Lab is a line-up of live coders playing one after another: techno taken apart, noise, eurodance gone wrong, oscilloscope music, breakbeat, generative visuals. Some are from Strasbourg; others come from Karlsruhe, Lyon, Prague, Slovenia, Lomé or Medellín. The code is on the screen, and the chaos is controlled, mostly.
Editions have taken place at Le Local, Carbone sous haute pression d’or, Perestroika, the Diamant d’Or, Karmen Camina and the Shadok, where Chaos Lab VII brought international guests in May 2025 and was filmed by Nuance. Chaos Lab XII, in July 2026, was also the founding night of the TOPLAP Strasbourg association.
